Baptism & Membership

BAPTISM 

As modeled and instructed in the New Testament, baptism is the expression of belief in and acceptance of Jesus Christ as one's Lord and Savior. Through surrender to Christ in baptism, a believer is immersed receiving forgiveness of sin, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and salvation because of God’s free gift of grace received by faith.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is an expression of commitment to Christ, an affirmation of the Bible as God's word, and devotion to the local church family at ECC.

At the conclusion of every Sunday service, ECC offers a time of invitation as a means of response and commitment. Anyone desiring to make a public confession of faith (trust) and be immersed into Jesus Christ or to make ECC his or her church home (become a member) is encouraged to step forward.
